Arriving in Toronto on Tuesday 18 May 2010, the long journey begins. The first few days always consists of early mornings and early evenings as one adjusts to the time difference of 5 hours. Remarkable changes include warm and sunny weather - going from 9degrees C in Ireland to 28 degrees C in Toronto and the lovely long evenings where the sun only sets around 21h30.
The first day was spent in downtown Toronto exploring the shops, and getting bikes and camera equipment sorted out. It was interesting to discover the Toronto version of New York's Time Square and window shop at the Hudson Bay Trading Company - one of the largest and oldest stores in Canada.
