We had lots of fun today, but it was marred with the knowledge that it was Christine’s last day with us. The month she has spent here has passed so quickly I had to review my journal to remind myself that it was actually 4 weeks. She had chosen the activities of the day so we headed off for Atlantic Playground to race go-karts.

Starting with a nice meal at our favourite restaurant, we watched some of the World Cup semi final played at Cape Town Stadium. Footage of SA, especially Cape Town and the stadium makes us feel proud to be South African and somewhat homesick.

As it was raining, the Amusement Park was very quiet and we had all the activities to ourselves. However, all the rides were open so we started at the go karts and Christine proved the fastest demon driver, beating Liam and I in the races. Bumper boats was the next activity and Liam was slow in finding his squirt button, so Christine and I managed to swamp him with water although all of us finished this fun pretty wet. We then enjoyed playing 18 holes of putt putt before Liam and Christine went head on in the bumper cars while I played photographer. Much fun was had by all.
