It was time to enjoy some luxury today and I had wanted to go back to Lake Louise and spend some time at this turquoise lake nestled below a glacier, so we set out for the long drive from Canmore to Lake Louise. Arriving in the rain, we walked around the lake a bit and then headed for the Five Star Fairmont Hotel on the shore where we sat in the lounge listening to a harpist play; enjoyed some luxurious delicacies and oogled at the beautiful view. A slightly different version from our usual canoe on the lake or cycle around it!
