Heading out of town today, we drove past many ranches to get to the Mount Paul Provincial park. A green oasis in the dry surroundings, it consists of a long narrow lake surrounded by steep hills and rock on each side. We took a hike through the forest and up to the top of a large rocky outcrop overlooking the lake. We enjoyed a picnic which we shared with a courageous little chipmunk that scurried around us, over our feet and up Liam’s back! We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing under the trees by the lake.
