An icy cycle was on the agenda this morning. We set off early to try and catch some wildlife, but it was about 7 degrees and icy cold. It warmed up a bit as the sun came out. We did not see any animals, but had lovely views across the lake when we enjoyed a picnic breakfast. We also challenged our biking skills with some bike trails that are better suited to mountain bikes.
Enjoying a braai for lunch, we set out in the evening for another game drive and this time we were rewarded with sightings of 3 beavers and a couple of white tailed deer. We also drove to the other end of the park and got a lovely view down the escarpment to the miles and miles of flat prairie and agricultural lands below.
