The Athabasca River flowing out of the glacier is a brilliant aqua marine blue like the Caribbean Sea from the “rock flour” deposited in the water from the glacier. After the tour we drove back along this beautiful river late into the evening. We also stopped at the Athabasca Falls, potholes and a brilliant blue aquamarine lake. On our way home we were rewarded with another sighting of a coyote and a beautiful male Elk with huge antlers, pawing the ground and calling to a herd of females across the river. What a truly beautiful and wonderful day.
